Our Beginning & Legacy
Our founder, Attorney Jim Steadman, started the Steadman Law Office, P.C. in 1976 to provide high-quality legal services in estate planning, real estate, business formations, and adoptions. He instilled a commitment to the community, which we honor today. After almost five decades of dedicated service, Jim passed on the leadership of our firm, and we continue to honor his legacy by providing exceptional services to our clients.

With two additional attorneys, three paralegals, and two legal assistants, we provide improved legal services. We offer various means of communication, including in-person, phone, and video calls to accommodate our clients’ unique circumstances.

Grant M. Yochim, Esq.,CELA
Grant M. Yochim, Esq., CELA, is also a native of western Erie County, having graduated from Fairview High School. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Penn State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was the recipient of the Pro-Bono Award.
Attorney Yochim is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney, a designation conferred by the National Elder Law Foundation. This designation is the only elder law certification accredited by the American Bar Association and recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
He is a current member of the Board of Directors and past president of the Girard Lake City Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Erie County Historical Society.

John A. Coming, Esq.
John A. Coming, Esq. is originally from Bainbridge, Ohio, outside of Cleveland. He attended The Ohio State University and earned a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science, and later his Juris Doctor degree.
John recently moved to Erie County with his wife, Kristina, along with their dog and cat. He is looking forward to deepening his relationship with the community, in and outside of the office.
